Marissa Martonyi is Design Director at the Museum of the City of New York and freelance physical and visual designer. At the Museum of the City of New York, she has designed and directed over two dozen exhibitions including AIDS at Home: Art and Everyday Activism (2017); New York, New Music: 1980-1986 (2021); and Food in New York: Bigger than the Plate (2023). She was previously graphic designer and art director at the Wildlife Conservation Society/Bronx Zoo where she designed International exhibitions and publications. She has taught courses in spatial graphics at Parsons School of Design and guest lectured at NYU and FIT. With her science background, she aims to research and use sustainable materials as much as possible.
